When you use QSignals, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: Name and email address provided through Google OAuth sign-in via Clerk.
• Portfolio data: Stock tickers, share quantities, and average cost basis that you voluntarily enter.
• Preferences: Theme selection, risk tolerance setting, watchlist, and notification preferences.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error logs for service improvement.
• Payment information: Processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the Service, including AI-powered stock analysis and portfolio tracking.
• Generate personalized AI portfolio analysis based on your holdings and risk tolerance.
• Send weekly AI Market Digest emails to Pro subscribers (with the option to unsubscribe).
• Process subscription payments and manage your account.
• Monitor and improve service reliability and performance.
• Respond to your feedback and support requests.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate QSignals. These providers help us with:

• Authentication & identity: Clerk — secure sign-in and account management via Google OAuth.
• Payment processing: Stripe — PCI-compliant subscription billing. We never store your card details.
• Cloud infrastructure: Vercel (hosting, serverless, analytics & performance monitoring), Supabase (database), Upstash (rate limiting).
• Market data: Yahoo Finance — source of all stock quotes, historical prices, financial metrics, and news articles displayed in the Service.
• AI analysis: Groq (open-weight models such as OpenAI gpt-oss and Qwen) — used to generate stock analysis and market insights. Your portfolio data may be sent to this provider to generate personalized analysis; it processes data per its privacy policy and does not use it for model training.
• Email delivery: Resend — transactional and digest email services.
• Monitoring & reliability: Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring. May collect anonymized usage data and session replays on error to diagnose issues.
• Product analytics: PostHog — helps us understand how users interact with QSignals so we can improve the experience. Collects page views, feature usage, and interaction data.
• Advertising: Google Ads — we use conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This may set cookies on your device.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and is contractually obligated to protect your data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States and is encrypted in transit using TLS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including server-side rate limiting and secure API authentication.

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Tracking

QSignals uses the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication (Clerk) and theme preferences.
• Analytics: PostHog and Vercel Analytics help us understand usage patterns and improve the Service.
• Advertising: Google Ads conversion tracking measures the effectiveness of our ad campaigns.
• Error monitoring: Sentry collects error data and may record session replays when errors occur, to help us fix issues.

Most browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.

6. Email Communications

When you create an account, you will receive a welcome email and may receive periodic service-related emails. Specifically:

• All users: A welcome email upon signup, and a weekly Earnings Calendar email every Monday when stocks in our coverage have upcoming earnings reports.
• Pro subscribers: A personalized weekly AI Market Digest email every Monday with market news, portfolio analysis, and AI insights, plus transactional emails related to your subscription (payment confirmations).

You can unsubscribe from recurring emails at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every email. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately. Transactional emails (welcome, payment) are not affected by unsubscribe preferences.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export your portfolio data.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data (portfolio positions, preferences, watchlist) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g., payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance). Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

10. International Users & GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the following applies:

• Lawful Basis: We process your data based on contractual necessity (to provide the Service) and legitimate interest (to improve and secure the Service, and to send service-related emails such as earnings calendars and market digests to existing users). You can opt out of recurring emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email.
• Data Transfers: Your data is stored and processed in the United States. By using QSignals, you consent to the transfer of your data to the U.S.
• Your Rights: In addition to the rights listed in Section 7, you have the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children's Privacy

QSignals is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
